The Wawa Food Market stores are a chain of convenience store/gas stations located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. They are privately owned by Wild Goose Holding Company and their headquarters is located in Wawa, Pennsylvania. The stores operated by selling beverages, coffee, sandwiches, prepared goods, gasoline and dairy products.

Wood ran a small store in Greenwich, New Jersey selling some dairy items from his farm. David Wood became Richards’s partner and he was already owner of a furnace that sold stove plates through the firm of Smith and Wood. Later George Wood moved to Delaware County, Pennsylvania where he started operating the Wawa Dairy Farms.
George Wood had developed the slogan “Buy Health by the Bottle” and with that the farm was able to deliver milk to a lot of folks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Unfortunately, by the 1960’s the demand for home delivery of milk had almost faded out and that is when the Wawa Food Market began. The company is still in the hands of the family and many people enjoy the freshness of the milk and the quality of the good foods that they serve.
