Safeway, one of America’s biggest grocery store chain is always offering some killer deals, but what happens if you’re looking to save even more money on your grocery shopping trip? Let me give you some key pointers on how you can save money today.
- Consider the Entertainment Book - I’m not sure how this works with most cities, but I have found that my Entertainment Book out in Phoenix, Arizona has (3) $5 off coupons that I can use on my Safeway grocery shopping trip. Again, I don’t know if this is going to be in every Entertainment Book, but regardless, it’s a great deal ,when considering a book of coupons.
- Use your manufacture coupons - Like every other grocery store chain, you can use your regular coupons that come in the mail. What you will find is that if you learn how to use these coupons the right way, you can really save yourself a lot of money. Use services that are free such as CouponMom.com. A website like this will show you when items go on sale, and when you can use a coupon to capitalize on the sale.
- Consider the Coupon application - The Coupon.com application is one of my favorites because I can save a lot of money just by printing coupons at home. Let’s say that I want a coupon for cookies. I will do a search, and if one is there, it will pop up. I can then add it to my queue, and print them out. The best thing about it is that it’s 100% free!
Most grocery store chains work the same. Keep your eye out on the newspaper insert as well, because you may find that you can save money with coupons in the ad as well. You also don’t want to forget to sign up for the Safeway rewards card to really maximize your savings. It’s free, and should save you even more!
